The HEART Project is a 501c3 non-profit organization that assists women who have become traumatized due to experiencing marital, incestual, childhood, or any other type of sexual violence. HEART’s core belief is that every woman can overcome the trauma of sexual violence and abuse. The HEART Project partners with community advocates and collaborates with similar organizations in the DMV area to provide access to mental health counseling, legal assistance (Court Advocates), vocational training, and short term as well as permanent housing transition assistance. Recently, as part of its ongoing efforts, HEART has extended assistance to those suffering the effects of trauma which has caused them to become homeless.
Our is committed to make a positive and long lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most. There is never a fee for our services.
We provide access to comprehensive trauma support services to help individuals heal and rebuild their lives.
We organize and execute community projects such as clothing, food, toy giveaways, and fundraisers for rental assistance. HEART aims to create positive change and uplift those in need.
HEART partners with The Wise Bridesmaids Global Breakthrough Ministries to feed, support, and show love to our homeless brothers and sisters in Calvert County, MD.
